Computer Labs

    The computer lab is equipped with state of the art systems connected in 100 Mbps LAN. Workstations come in all sorts of configurations. The latest addition to the computer center were AMD Athlon 64 based workstations with 512 MB RAM and 80 GB SATA HDD's. All workstations run on the latest operating systems from the Microsoft and Linux stable. All types of application software are available in the lab. The network runs on a Windows 2003 Server. In the computer lab, students can also access the college intranet- “Alphanet”.

    The lab is connected to the Internet by means of two WLL's. A VSAT network is also used as a backup when the WLL's fail. The Internet connection is made available to the students 24 hrs. This enables the students to remain in touch with friends and family. It also connects them to the vast resources available on the Internet.

Computing on Campus

    In addition to the regular computer time, all students are provided with 24hrs Internet Access. Day Scholars can access the net from the Computer Lab before the they leave for home. The students in the hostel have access to the Internet 24hrs a day by computers in the hostel. Those who are working on special programs, paper presentations are provided extra time to facilitate overall development. Each student will be provided with a login ID which will be valid for the entire course. Students with their own computers can connect to the college network through Wi-Fi wireless connectivity.
