Student Activities
What you do outside of class contributes as much to
your college experience as what you do in the classroom. Volunteer to
tutor children at a local school or unprivileged
children. Participate in the student government of your
department. Sing in
the choirs. Join the Rotaract International, Youth
Red Cross (YRC), National Service Scheme (NSS), Indian Institute for
Technical (ISTE) or IEEE. At Mount Zion College, it's all about
choices. If you can't find one of groups offered through the Student
Activities Office to meet your interest, then start your own student
group.
The Student Activities Office also hosts many
events throughout the academic year for
the enjoyment of all students. Annual College Day,
Annual Sports Day, Women's Hostel Day, Men's
Hostel Day, Christmas Programs, Annual Cultural Week, are among the
many Mount Zion College traditions. Read on to get an idea of
the kinds of activities in which students can be involved.
Different clubs operate for increasing the abilities
of the students. All students are members of certain clubs but for some,
membership is optional. Students are expected to take part earnestly in
the activities of the club. The clubs that are functioning in the
