Scholarships
Mount Zion College believes that
scholars should be encouraged and recognized for their efforts and
abilities. For this reason, the College is committed to offering a
variety of scholarships to entering freshmen. Most of these merit
awards are academic in nature, and some are awarded to talented
athletes.
There are several kinds of academic scholarships. Some are offered
in specific areas of academic study. The College selects
scholarship recipients based on their superior academic
records.
Academic scholarships are renewable for up
to three additional years of study if the following criteria are
met: Students must maintain the required annual
percentage average specified in the student's award
notification. All merit award recipients, must be
Indian citizens, permanent residents, or
NRIs.
Most merit-based awards do not require an application for financial
aid. However, we strongly encourage all students who believe they
may require some amount of financial aid in addition to their merit
award to complete the forms required for need-based aid.
Scholarship recipients who elect to defer admission to Mount Zion
College forfeit their scholarship offer.
The College reserves the right to revoke
or rescind the award of the scholarship and/or the offer of
admission as a result of information received by the
College after the award/offer of admission
related to academic or disciplinary misconduct or criminal act by
the applicant prior or to matriculation at
the University.
