Eligibility Criteria for
B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch Degree Courses
Eligibility as Per Tamil Nadu
Government Norms
Diploma holders from Government approved institutions with minimum
eligibility marks are eligible for direct admission to second year
of B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch courses.
Qualifying Exam
Pass in the 3 year diploma examination conducted
by State Board of Technical Education of respective states.

Applicants should not have completed 21 years
of age as on 1st July for the respective academic year.

Tamil Nadu SC/ST
candidates : No age limit.

Physically handicapped candidates should not
have completed 26 years as on 1st July.

Age shall be determined based only on the
date of birth as given in SSLC / HSC or an equivalent
examination certificate.
Supporting Documents
In addition to the required credentials,
lateral entry/transfer applicants must submit official transcripts from each
college attended. The Board of Admissions strongly suggests that you submit
a letter of recommendation from a professor or college administrator who is
familiar with your academic ability. As a lateral entry/transfer applicant,
you are not required to submit the Counselor Recommendation Form/High School
Report. You are, however, required to submit the Transfer Status Report
Form. Please give this form to your HOD to complete.
